Message for Private Students

If you are a UAE citizen studying in the United States, but are not sponsored by any government or private agency or you have a scholarship and your sponsor does not have an office at the Cultural Division in Washington, DC, and would like the Embassy to retain your information in order to better assist you in the event of an emergency, please complete the Private Student Registration Form* and mail or fax it to:

Once the form is received by the Cultural Division, a file will be created for you and the information will be stored. You’ll be contacted immediately and will be given guidance and assistance in the event of emergencies.

Documents needed

  • Private Student Registration Form*
  • A copy of your I-20
  • A copy of your I-94
  • A copy of your Passport
  • A copy of your Visa page
  • A copy of your Admission Letter
  • Evaluation Letter with major, hours completed and date of graduation
  • Enrollment confirmation
  • Copies of transcripts and diploma from UAE
  • Official Transcripts from Current school
  • Complete address with cell phone and e-mail in the US
  • Complete UAE address with emergency contact person

Once the above information is received, the student will be assisted by the Cultural Division in case of an emergency and will receive academic advising related to the accreditation of his/her field of study and the accreditation of the institution where he/she studies.

Once the student graduates, his/her diploma and transcript(s) will be authenticated by the Cultural Counselor after receiving the required documents and information and after verifying the accreditation of both the institution and the field of study in accordance with the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR) regulations and policy.

*Printing tip: If you have problems printing the Private Student Registration Form , go to the "Advanced" setting in your print dialog box and select "Print as image."
